BP has announced it’s so called Top Kill experiment to stop the oil flowing into the Gulf of Mexico has failed.
BP chief operation officer Doug Suttles told a news conference attempts to pump mud and stuff solid material failed to stop the flow.
So what now?

Nuke it! Turn the seabed into a 50 foot thick layer of glass.
Sure. And break all nuke treaties and wreck all attempts to reduce nuclear weapon arsenals. I can just see the world’s wannabe nuclear powers pointing at such an idea and saying “See! All their talk about nukes is just that - talk”.
Apart from that, have you even thought about the fact that we would then have radioactivity to add to the pollution mix? No, they have made their bed, and they will have to fix it without resort to idiotic things like that.
