Onehunga platform is now starting to look more like a real railway train station.
Here is how it’s looking today - exactly 10 weeks out from when commuters will be able to use the line.

Can’t wait to see it in use!
I like your usage of “railway train station”.
Covering all bases
I went past this evening and the crew was still working close to 6pm with it all lit up and suddenly there’s a railway station in Onehunga! Until now lots of talk and an empty yard. Its amazing to see it actually there on the mall after the years of to-ing and fro-ing.
If they keep the two or three larger trees around the edge of the site, the location will look quite nice, like an established station. Those trees, with some landscaping around the carpark and across the track by the pylon, will create a nice looking station.
I just hope the contractors don’t chop the trees down. Ontrack/KiwiRail Network have a tendency to cut down all vegetation regardless of whether its in the way or not.
You’d assume trees are currently still protected? Or does that rule not apply to them?
